For me, this is personal.
This is my story.

You’ve probably felt it too—that sense of giving everything you have to your work and still having to fight for your voice to be heard. Hi, I’m Jemi, a proud first-generation Gambian American, raised by parents who defied the odds to find success and create a launchpad for me in the Western world. My grandmother- my namesake- was never even taught how to read. I know first-hand how a single generation of success can change the trajectory of a family for generations to come.

Still, with every dream achieved came a reality that wasn’t as idealistic; I was often the first or only one like me in the room, from my earliest school days to my roles at the top levels of global corporations. As I climbed, I realized that I was feeling around in the dark to navigate spaces without mentors, community, or any roadmaps. But failure wasn’t an option; I was determined to exceed my ancestors wildest dreams, and pressure makes diamonds, right?

In nearly two decades quickly climbing ladders in consulting, strategy, and market research, I’ve seen it all: my ideas stolen, my voice used, my impact diminished. I know what it’s like to be gaslit, overlooked, and undermined—and I know I’m far from alone in this.

But today I know that beautiful, conflict-free, valuable diamonds can also be lab-grown—and that’s what I intend to build in my lab: The THINKFLUENCER lab. I will turn a generation of exceptional women into sparkling diamonds of expertise and innovation in their industries.

Women in leadership today face struggles that go beyond the title or paycheck; we face doubts, battles for recognition, and an uphill journey to simply be valued for what we bring to the table. We deserve more than just visibility—we deserve to have a shot at having real influence.

My career has spanned consulting for Fortune 100 giants and high-impact startups alike, helping top leaders transform how they connect with their audiences through the power of data and storytelling. I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the world’s most powerful women leaders and distilled these lessons into systems that turn thought leaders into influential, unforgettable voices. My work has been featured in places like Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Inc.com, FastCompany, Bloomberg, The Financial Times, and I've appeared live on CNBC. I’ve seen storytelling drive real change, influence, and connect people in ways that simply being “a rockstar 🙄” never could.

But in order to change the story - we have to change the storytellers. So, I’ve become obsessed with empowering other women to own their story and wield it with confidence.
